{"wiki":"en","slug":"guide-ip-buttons","markdown":"# Assigning the call buttons of an outdoor station to indoor stations\n\nThis setup guide describes how to assign the call buttons of a Behnke outdoor station to specific indoor stations.\n\nIn intercom mode, assignment is always made via the **call number** of a button. For indoor stations, the call number corresponds to the intercom ID, or, for calls across groups, to a combination of intercom group and ID.\n\n<!-- block: standardzuordnung-ohne-zusaetzliche-konfiguratio -->\n## 1. Default assignment without additional configuration\n\nIf no individual call number is configured for a call button, the outdoor station automatically uses the number of the button as the call number.\n\nThis means the following applies in intercom mode:\n\n```text\nTaste 1 → Innenstation(en) mit ID 1\nTaste 2 → Innenstation(en) mit ID 2\nTaste 3 → Innenstation(en) mit ID 3\n...\n```\n\n![Web interface menu item Buttons, intercom ID assignment](uploads/5e08729568cbc7fd49196415eb3758e4/grafik.png)\n\nThe assignment applies to indoor stations in the same intercom group.\n\nExample:\n\n```text\nSprechanlagengruppe 1\n\nAußenstation\n├── Taste 1 → ID 1 → Empfang\n└── Taste 2 → ID 2 → Büro\n```\n\nIf this default assignment suits the desired setup, no additional call number needs to be entered for the call buttons.\n\n<!-- block: ruftaste-individuell-zuordnen -->\n## 2. Assigning a call button individually\n\nIf a button is to call a different indoor station than the one provided by the default assignment, an individual call number can be configured for the button.\n\nTo do this, open the configuration of the outdoor station.\n\n%[BS_LOGIN_INFO](BS_LOGIN_INFO)%\n\n- In the sidebar on the left, click the menu item %BS_MENU_TASTEN%\n- Find the desired call button (e.g. section **Button 1**)\n- Set the value of the **Call number** option to the ID of the desired indoor station\n- Click %BS_MENU_SPEICHERN_ROT% to save the configuration\n\nExample:\n\n```text\nTaste: 1\nRufnummer: 2\n```\n\nButton `1` thus calls the indoor station or indoor stations with ID `2` within the same intercom group.\n\n> [!IMPORTANT]\n> If a button is configured individually, the associated button name should also be configured to match the call destination.\n\n<!-- block: tastenname-konfigurieren -->\n## 3. Configuring the button name\n\nFor individually configured call buttons, it is recommended to assign an understandable name for the call destination.\n\nExamples are:\n\n```text\nEmpfang\nBüro\nAnlieferung\nHausmeister\n```\n\nThe button name makes it easier to identify the call destination, especially on outdoor stations with a display.\n\n<!-- block: mehrere-innenstationen-gleichzeitig-anrufen -->\n## 4. Calling several indoor stations at the same time\n\nIf several indoor stations within the same intercom group have the same intercom ID, all corresponding indoor stations are called when this ID is called.\n\nExample:\n\n```text\nGruppe 1\n\nInnenstation 1 → ID 2\nInnenstation 2 → ID 2\n\nAußenstation\nTaste 2 → ID 2\n```\n\nWhen button `2` is pressed, both indoor stations with ID `2` are called at the same time.\n\nNo special multiple assignment of the button is required for this.\n\n<!-- block: innenstation-einer-anderen-sprechanlagengruppe-z -->\n## 5. Assigning an indoor station of another intercom group\n\nA call button can also be assigned to an indoor station of another intercom group.\n\nA three-digit call number is used for this:\n\n```text\n[Gruppe][zweistellige ID]\n```\n\nExample:\n\n```text\nSprechanlagengruppe: 2\nSprechanlagen-ID: 1\n\nRufnummer: 201\n```\n\nIf the call number `201` is configured for a button, it calls the indoor station or indoor stations with ID `1` in intercom group `2`.\n\n<!-- block: mehrere-anrufziele-nacheinander-anrufen -->\n## 6. Calling several destinations in sequence\n\nSeveral call destinations can also be configured for a button as a call chain.\n\nThe individual call numbers are separated by a semicolon `;`.\n\nExample:\n\n```text\n1;201\n```\n\nIn this example, ID `1` of the own intercom group is called first.\n\nIf the call is not answered there, ID `1` of intercom group `2` is called next via the call number `201`.\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> Call chains are mainly useful for more complex systems. For a simple assignment of a call button to an indoor station, the intercom ID as the call number is normally sufficient.\n\n<!-- block: zuordnung-ueber-eine-innenstation-konfigurieren -->\n## 7. Configuring the assignment via an indoor station\n\nThe individual button configuration of an outdoor station can be made via the configuration mode of a Behnke indoor station.\n\nProceed as follows:\n\n- Open the configuration mode of the indoor station.\n- Enter the administrator password.\n- Select the desired outdoor station.\n- Select the desired button.\n- Select `Call number`.\n- Enter the desired call number.\n- Save the configuration.\n\n![Behnke indoor station call number configuration of outdoor station](uploads/49225960174cc84106ca4e8c2a4352a9/grafik.png)\n\nThe individual assignment of the call button is now complete.\n\n\n<!-- block: zuordnung-pruefen -->\n## 8. Checking the assignment\n\nAfter saving, press the configured call button.\n\nCheck whether the desired indoor station or stations are called.\n\nIf the wrong call destination is reached, check in particular:\n\n- which call number is configured for the button\n- which intercom ID the desired indoor station has\n- which intercom group the devices belong to\n- whether several indoor stations use the same ID\n- whether a call chain has been configured\n\n<!-- block: zusammenfassung -->\n## 9. Summary\n\nThe following basic rules apply to the assignment of call buttons:\n\n- without a configured call number, a button dials its own button number\n- button `1` thus calls ID `1` by default, button `2` calls ID `2`, and so on\n- an individual call number overrides this default assignment\n- within the same group, the intercom ID is sufficient as the call number\n- several indoor stations with the same ID are called together\n- for another intercom group, a three-digit call number is used\n- several call destinations can be linked via a call chain using `;`\n\n<!-- block: faq -->\n## 10.
