Setting up port forwarding for the web interface\n\n%[BS_LOGIN_INFO](BS_LOGIN_INFO)%\n\n- Click the menu item %BS_MENU_NETZWERK% in the sidebar on the left\n- Navigate to the section **Port forwarding**\n\n![Web interface section **Port forwarding**](uploads/2f298a0e4d4cb671c61d69b0ca547fc5/grafik.png)\n\nThe following settings are available for the web interface:\n\n<!-- block: http-port-des-webservers -->\n### HTTP port of the web server\n\nInternal port of the Behnke Station: `80`\n\nDefault for the forwarded port: `80`\n\nEnter the external port here that is forwarded in the router to port `80` of the Behnke Station.\n\nExample:\n\n```text\nExtern: 10080\nIntern: 80\n```\n\nThe following is then set in the Behnke Station:\n\n```text\nHTTP-Port des Webservers (80): 10080\n```\n\n> [!WARNING]\n> Port forwarding for unsecured HTTP connections is not recommended. HTTPS should be used for access to the Behnke Station behind a NAT.\n\n<!-- block: https-port-des-webservers -->\n### HTTPS port of the web server\n\nInternal port of the Behnke Station: `443`\n\nDefault for the forwarded port: `443`\n\nEnter the external port here that is forwarded in the router to port `443` of the Behnke Station.\n\nExample:\n\n```text\nExtern: 10443\nIntern: 443\n```\n\nThe following is then set in the Behnke Station:\n\n```text\nHTTPS-Port des Webservers (443): 10443\n```\n\nPort forwarding for the web interface is normally detected automatically. Manually specifying the forwarded port is therefore not necessary in every case.\n\n2. Setting up port forwarding for the IP camera\n\nFor a Behnke Station with a camera, port forwarding for the camera image must be set up in addition.\n\nThe ports used for this differ from the ports of the web interface.\n\n<!-- block: http-port-der-ip-kamera -->\n### HTTP port of the IP camera\n\nInternal port: `8080`\n\nDefault for the forwarded port: `8080`\n\nExample:\n\n```text\nExtern: 18080\nIntern: 8080\n```\n\nThe following is set in the Behnke Station:\n\n```text\nHTTP-Port der IP-Kamera (8080): 18080\n```\n\n<!-- block: https-port-der-ip-kamera -->\n### HTTPS port of the IP camera\n\nInternal port: `8443`\n\nDefault for the forwarded port: `8443`\n\nExample:\n\n```text\nExtern: 18443\nIntern: 8443\n```\n\nThe following is set in the Behnke Station:\n\n```text\nHTTPS-Port der IP-Kamera (8443): 18443\n```\n\n> [!IMPORTANT]\n> Port forwarding for the camera image cannot be detected automatically.\n>\n> The external port used must therefore be specified in the Behnke Station. Otherwise, the web interface may be reachable via port forwarding while the camera image is not displayed.\n\n<!-- block: beispielkonfiguration -->\n## 3. Example configuration\n\nA possible configuration using HTTPS can look like this, for example:\n\n```text\nInternet\n   |\n   | HTTPS\n   |\nRouter / Firewall\n   |\n   +-- Port 10443 --> Behnke-Station Port 443\n   |\n   +-- Port 18443 --> Behnke-Station Port 8443\n```\n\nThe following port forwarding rules are set up in the router:\n\n| External port | Internal port | Use |\n|---|---:|---|\n| `10443` | `443` | HTTPS web interface |\n| `18443` | `8443` | HTTPS camera image |\n\nThe following values are configured accordingly in the Behnke Station:\n\n```text\nHTTPS-Port des Webservers (443): 10443\nHTTPS-Port der IP-Kamera (8443): 18443\n```\n\n<!-- block: speichern-und-testen -->\n## 4. Saving and testing\n\n- Click %BS_MENU_SPEICHERN_ROT% to save the configuration\n- Then test access from a network outside the local network.\n- Using the example, the web interface is accessed via:\n\n```text\nhttps://[öffentliche Adresse]:10443\n```\n\n- The camera image is provided via the configured port forwarding for port `8443`.\n\n<!-- block: faq -->\n## 5. FAQ\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> **Can I change the internal web server port of the Behnke Station?**\n>\n> The settings described here do not change the internal port of the web server.\n>\n> The web server continues to use:\n>\n>- `80` for HTTP\n>- `443` for HTTPS\n>\n> Only the port that is forwarded externally to the respective internal port is configured.\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> **Which ports does the IP camera use?**\n>\n> The following ports are used for the camera image:\n>\n> - `8080` for HTTP\n> - `8443` for HTTPS\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> **Why does the web interface work, but not the camera image?**\n>\n> For a station with a camera, a separate port forwarding for the camera image must be set up in addition to the one for the web interface.\n>\n> For HTTPS, an external port must be forwarded to port `8443` of the Behnke Station, and this external port must also be specified in the Behnke Station.\n\n> [!NOTE]\n> **Should HTTP be used?**\n>\n> For access to the Behnke Station behind a NAT, using HTTPS is recommended.\n","lastModified":"2026-10-14T13:47:15+02:00"}
