Can't call up the web interface
There can be various reasons why you can't call up the Behnke Station's web interface. To isolate the problem, please do the following:
1. Status LED
First, use the status LED to check whether your Behnke Station is ready for operation.

Status LED
Depending on the operating mode and the status of the device, the LED glows or flashes in certain colors. You can use the table below to check whether the Behnke Station is operational and the web interface should therefore also be accessible.
| Web interface should be accessible | Web interface is not accessible |
|---|---|
analogue telephone |
start phase |
SIP phone: all configured SIP accounts registered |
reboot |
SIP phone: configured SIP accounts only partially registered |
analogue telephone without network |
SIP telephone for direct SIP calls |
SIP phone: no SIP account registered / no network |
intercom mode |
SIP telephone for direct SIP calls without network |
hybrid mode |
intercom mode without network |
hybrid mode: not all configured SIP accounts are registered |
temporary shut down due to high temperature |
sabotage detected / safety shutdown activated |
firmware update |
hardware error |
If the web interface of the Behnke Station should be accessible according to this table, but you still cannot access it, please continue with step 2.
If the Behnke Station is in a status in which the web interface is not accessible according to the LED, you will find possible solutions below.
-
/
Start phase, or reboot:The device is just restarting or booting up. Just wait for the boot up to complete and the status to change. If the Behnke Station is not ready for operation after more than five minutes (see table above) and the two states "start phase" and "reboot" constantly alternate, your Behnke Station may be in a boot loop. How to fix this problem is described in the following guide: Boot Loop.

Analogue telephone without network / SIP phone: no SIP account registered / no network / SIP telephone for direcct SIP calls without network / intercom mode without network:Either the Behnke Station is being operated as an analogue telephone and there is no network cable connected, or there is a problem with the network connection. If necessary, please check the connected network cable/network connection or connect a network cable. If the network connection is OK, there may be a faulty network configuration of the Behnke Station itself. If a reboot doesn't solve the problem, you can activate the network configuration mode and adjust the configuration of the Behnke Station.
-
temporary shut down due to high temperature:In order to avoid a defect the Behnke Station was shut down because the temperature was too high. This can happen, for example if the device is exposed to direct sunlight for a longer period of time, especially on devices with a dark front panel. You can either wait until the device has cooled down enough for the safety shutdown to end, or you can end it manually by pressing the configuration button, a call button, a button on the keypad, touching the display, or by calling the Behnke Station as a hybrid devices via the analog line.
-
firmware update:A firmware update is currently in progress. Please wait until the update is complete and the station is operational again. This can take a few minutes.
-
hardware error:If there is a hardware error, the Behnke Station tries - if possible - to output an error number via the status LED, the speaker or the display (if available). The status LED displays the error number after flashing rapidly several times. The LED should then go out briefly and then flash yellow several times to indicate the error number. In the event of a hardware error, please contact our support.
If the possible solutions mentioned here do not solve the problem and the Behnke Station is still in a non-operational state, please contact our support: Support Ticket
2. Output IP address
If the status LED indicates that the Behnke Station is ready for operation, you can use the configuration button to have the IP address announced. To do this, briefly press the configuration button once to start the voice menu. You will then be guided through the menu with voice prompts.
When announcing the IP address, you will also receive information as to whether the IP address has been assigned dynamically (DHCP), is configured statically, or has been assigned by the Behnke Station itself (link local address).
Please then check whether the given IP address matches the address with which you are trying to access the web interface. Please also check whether the computer from which you want to access is in the same IP address range. If necessary, give the computer a corresponding IP address in the same network range.
3. Firewall
Please check whether a firewall is preventing access to the web interface and, if necessary, set up a corresponding rule. The web interface can be reached via HTTP on port 80 and via HTTPS on port 443.
4. Browser
Access via HTTP may have been deactivated in the station. Therefore, please also check whether the web interface can be reached via HTTPS.
In addition, the used browser should be as up-to-date as possible. The Behnke Station could be set in such a way that only HTTPS is permitted, and the strongest possible encryption process is enforced. This could result in older browsers no longer being able to access the web interface. If necessary, also check the browser settings.
