Configuration guide 3CX®

1. Configuration guide

This configuration guide describes how to set up a Behnke Station as a SIP extension of a 3CX® virtual phone system. We are assuming that the basic configuration of the 3CX® system has already been done, and we will only describe the steps required to register the Behnke Station with 3CX®. We also assume that the Behnke station has already been integrated into the network and can be accessed via the IP address in a browser.

1.1. Configuring the extension for the Behnke Station

Please note that the configuration of the extension is only shown very briefly and the configuration may vary for your 3CX®. If in doubt, please contact your 3CX® support.

  • First, please open the 3CX® Management Console in your browser and log in with your admin credentials.

Login screen of the 3CX® Management Console

  • In the menu on the left please click on "Users".

2. Trouble shooting

Please click on a problem below, in order to get an exact description and solutions.

SIP registration fails, despite correct SIP credentials. The 3CX® system no longer responds to SIP requests from the Behnke Station.
If a device with a specific IP address failed several times in registering via SIP (e.g. using incorrect SIP credentials), 3CX® will ban the corresponding IP address. The IP address must then be removed manually from the 3CX®'s blacklist. The IP blacklist can be found on the configuration interface under "Security".
