Software doesn't find cameras/Behnke Stations automatically
1. Solution
There are several possible solutions for this problem:
-
An exception for IP video software must be added in Windows Firewall (Control Panel > Windows Firewall > "Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall").
-
On the web interface of the Behnke station, UDP communication must be activated under Network > "UDP communication". The broadcast address "255.255.255.255" should usually be entered as the destination IP address, the destination port for the status messages should be "8112", and the local port for the remote control messages should be "8113".
-
Your antivirus software or your firewall may be preventing the software from working correctly.
-
If the Behnke Stations are in a different IP address range than the computer with the video software, the server component of the video software must be used. To do so, please enter the IP address of one of your Behnke Station in the video software on the "Common setup" tab in the "Server IP address and port" field in the first input field, and the port number 8255 in the second field. Then check the "Use Server" option and click on "Save configuration". If the software can establish a connection to the Behnke Station under this port number, a green bar is displayed. If the bar stays red, please check your routing or your firewall rules.
